The Story Behind
Helpful Voices
Helpful Voices began as a response to a clear need: recovery facilitators across the country were spending hours preparing sessions with limited, outdated materials. We set out to change that — to create professional, ready-to-use video lessons and facilitator tools that blend research-based education with empathy and engagement.
From the start, our focus has been on giving recovery professionals the resources they deserve — high-quality materials that make their work easier, their sessions more dynamic, and their clients more
connected.

Our Philosophy
At the heart of Helpful Voices is a simple belief: education heals. When people understand the ‘why’ behind their emotions, cravings, and choices, real change becomes possible. Our content blends science with storytelling, helping participants see themselves not as failures, but as learners capable of transformation.
We believe in teaching through compassion — using curiosity instead of criticism, and knowledge instead of judgment. Recovery is not just about abstinence; it’s about rediscovering meaning, identity, and connection.

How We Work
Every Helpful Voices lesson is developed through collaboration between educators, therapists, and content creators. We follow a structured process — research, scripting, review, and production — to ensure that each video reflects clinical accuracy, emotional depth, and educational clarity.
Our goal is to make complex recovery concepts feel personal and practical — transforming lessons about the brain, emotions, and behavior into stories that inspire hope and insight.

Commitment to Facilitators
We honor the work facilitators do every day. Helpful Voices exists to make their jobs easier — offering clear structure, high production quality, and materials that help every participant stay engaged.
We see facilitators as partners in education and healing, and we design every resource with their needs in mind.

Looking Ahead
Helpful Voices is growing rapidly. In the months ahead, we’ll continue to expand our video library, add new categories, and introduce interactive innovations like AI-powered Live Avatars — digital companions trained to answer recovery-related questions and support learning through conversation.
Our vision is to build a full ecosystem of recovery education — one that combines group facilitation, digital engagement, and continuous professional support for recovery teams across the country.
